Dr. Oetker warns of copper wires in pizza bread sold at Jumbo

The baking goods manufacturer Dr. Oetker warns that its La Mia Familia 4-cheese pizza bread may contain copper wires. These come from a supplier, the company reports. Eating the pizza bread may pose a health risk. The affected bread is La Mia Familia 4-Cheese, which is sold at Jumbo, with an expiry date of November 2025 and the batch code 06112415.

Customers who have the pizza bread in their homes can contact Dr. Oetker's consumer service. They should then send a photo of the packaging and their account number by email and will be refunded the purchase price. The contents can go in the garbage can, according to the company, which advises not to return to the supermarket with the bread. Dr. Oetker is withdrawing the product from the shelves of Jumbo.

This is not the first time that metal particles have been found in food. There have already been warnings recently about copper particles in salads, including those from Johma, but also from various private labels.
