Spotify raises Dutch Premium prices; individual plan now 14 euros, up about 8%

Spotify is raising the prices of its Premium subscriptions in the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, this means that a standard individual Premium plan will now cost 14 euros per month, an increase of 1 euro, or about 8 percent. Duo plans rise from 18 euros to 20 euros, and Family plans from 22 euros to 24 euros, increases of about 10 percent each.

The same changes apply in Belgium, Luxembourg, and Argentina, though the percentage increases are higher still for Belgian subscribers.

Spotify has emailed users about the price increases. They take effect immediately for new customers. Existing customers will pay the higher rates starting with their next billing period.

“The increase helps the company offer the best possible experience and support artists,” Spotify said in a statement.
