Court convicts 19-year-old of inciting attack on former Real Housewive of Amsterdam
The court has convicted a 19-year-old man of inciting attempted aggravated assault on former Real Housewives of Amsterdam star Tamara Elbaz on September 2, 2024. He solicited others via Snaochat to assault Elbaz near her home in Amsterdam-Zuid.
The suspect received three days of juvenile detention and 180 hours of community service. He also has to pay over 5,800 euros in damages.
The attack occurred in broad daylight in front of Elbaz’s minor child. The former reality star was dragged to the ground, after which she was repeatedly kicked and punched on the head and body with clenched fists.
The court said that the attack was premediated. Elbaz’s home had been observed prior to the attack, and a picture of her had been shared.
Four people have now been convicted in the case. In January this year, two minors who carried out the attack-dragging Elbaz to the ground, kicking her, and punching her-were sentenced: one received 160 hours of community service and 23 days of juvenile detention. The other got 140 hours of community service and 10 days.
In April 2025, the then-24-year-old Vurryano V. received a 20-month prison sentence for recruiting those minors via Snapchat; he did not take part in the physical attack.
The recently convicted 19-year-old was also sentenced for asking others on Snapchat to assault Elbaz.
A fifth suspect, an 18-year-old, was earlier acquitted due to lack of evidence.
