Yangon Region Parliament receives excise tax bill proposing licensing fees of up to K250 million for liquor distilleries
A draft amendment to the Yangon Region Excise Tax Law, which proposes licensing fees ranging from K7.5 million to K25 million for the ownership and operation of liquor distilleries, has been submitted to the Yangon Region Parliament. The bill was submitted by the Parliament's Bill Committee during the first day of the Third Yangon Region Parliament's Emergency Session (1/2026), held on November 6.
