Indian equities ended mixed on Friday as easing crude and bargain buying lifted the Nifty while Tata and IT stocks dragged the Sensex. The session kept focus on Tata Sons uncertainty, IPO-driven liquidity shifts and whether lower oil and yields can sustain the recovery.

The BSE Sensex opened at 74,182.62 and closed at 74,314.59, down 21.86 points or 0.03%. The Nifty 50 opened at 23,195.25 and ended at 23,270.60, gaining 53 points or 0.23%.
