Passport fees increase to ₹2,500 for a 36-page application starting July 1, with higher rates for tatkal services.

From July 1, a new 36-page passport or its reissue for applicants aged 18 years and above will cost Rs 2,500 under the normal scheme, up from Rs 1,500 at present. The Tatkaal fee has been raised to Rs 5,000 from Rs 3,500.
