The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has appealed for $89 million to sustain food and nutrition assistance for millions of vulnerable Nigerians in the conflict-ridden North-east, warning that worsening insecurity, funding shortages and restricted humanitarian access are pushing more people into severe hunger.
