The US president said the European Union must enact the trade deal agreed last year and drop tariffs on American goods to zero.

President Donald Trump has said the European Union must ratify its trade deal with the United States by 4 July or face "much higher" tariffs, after European officials fell short of agreement on the pact.

Trump has threatened to impose higher tariffs on the bloc if it doesn't implement the trade deal agreed last year by his deadline.
