Summer stress on crops pushes vegetable prices in Bengaluru by over 40%
The unusually harsh summer this year has pushed up vegetable prices across Bengaluru, with everyday essentials such as tomatoes, beans and cabbage becoming costlier by nearly 40% in city markets. Beans have seen the sharpest spike, with prices crossing ₹200 per kg in some markets, more than double their usual rate.
