KPN connects 86,000 households to fibre in strong quarterly rollout
KPN expanded its fibre-optic network significantly in the first quarter, connecting 86,000 additional households. Including its joint venture Glaspoort with pension fund ABP, the total number of households connected now stands at almost 5.9 million.The telecom company has been focusing on the rollout of fibre-optic networks for some time. By the end of last year, just over 5.8 million households were connected to its high-speed internet service. CEO Joost Farwerck stated that the company continues to lead the Dutch fibre market.
