Dutch online retailer Bol has received approval from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) to operate as a payment service provider. The company plans to continue offering customers the option to pay after purchase and will allow online sellers to use Bol’s payment technology.Bol, the Netherlands’ largest online retailer, has created a subsidiary focused on payment solutions for consumers and businesses. The move is intended to create new revenue streams beyond product sales, according to Het Financieele Dagblad.
