Basel set to welcome Eurovision with open arms with grand line up of events

The City of Basel is all set to welcome the Eurovision Song Contest bandwagon come May, with a grand line up of side events and a full fledged social program. 

Thousands of Eurovision fans, circa 1,500 accredited press, acts and artists from circa 38-40 competing countries are expected to land in Basel come May. Basel is preparing for the ‘Big City Party’ when Eurovision comes to town. The City of Basel is currently working on the side events which will take place throughout the city involving local musicians and artists. Basel is set to live Eurovision and music in the best of ways.

Local and regional musicians will get a chance to showcase their talent on one of the many stages will be set up throughout Basel. Street musicians from all over the world will also get a chance to perform in these side events.

Eurovision fans and locals will be able to enjoy the 9 ESC 2025 shows ( 3 live televised shows, 3 afternoon rehearsals and 3 evening rehearsals) at the St. Jakobshalle. Whilst The St.Jakobshalle Soccer Stadium will be the Arena Plus during the Grand Final. SRG-SSR will be responsible for the Arena Plus program, whilst the Eurovision fan clubs will be responsible for the program of the EuroClub in Basel, which will be set up at the Basel Messe.

The largest Eurovision Turquoise Carpet ever will be rolled out in the host city, Basel is working from strength to strength to showcase an extraordinary event come May. The Turquoise Carpet and Eurovision Song Contest 2025 Opening Ceremony are set to be held at the Messe on Sunday 11 May.
