Cillian Murphy debuted blond hair as he posed with his Small Things Like These co-stars Eileen Walsh and Emily Watson at the UK premiere on Thursday night.

The actor, 48, usually sports dark brunette locks but it appears it has been lightened as he films the new Peaky Blinders movie.

At the posed at the premiere he looked smart in a burnt orange suede jacket which he teamed with black trousers.

Small Things like These is a new historical drama film directed by Tim Mielants and adapted by Enda Walsh from the 2021 novel by Claire Keegan.

The film stars Cillian (who also serves as a producer), Eileen, Michelle Fairley, Emily, Clare Dunne, and Helen Behan. An international co-production between Ireland and Belgium, its plot focuses on Ireland's infamous Magdalene laundries.

Small Things like These had its world premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival in February and is scheduled to be released on November 1.

A synopsis for the film reads: 'Leading up to Christmas in 1985, coal merchant Bill Furlong makes a discovery at a local convent that makes him confront secrets in the Irish town of New Ross.'

Eileen looked sophisticated in a sheer flower patterned black dress while Emily wore a smart coat.

Earlier this week Cillian was seen on the set of the new Peaky Blinders movie The Immortal Man as filming continued in Birmingham.

The lead actor was seen covered in mud and sporting a bloody gash on his face while riding a horse as he resumed his iconic role of Tommy Shelby for the upcoming film.

The Oscar winner played the gangster in the multi-award winning BBC series from 2013 to 2022 and is now back for a big screen outing, alongside new cast members  Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Roth.

And it appears that the new offering is set to be as violent and dramatic as ever as Cillian got stuck into filming while looking very much worse for wear.

The Irish star was pictured riding the black horse through the streets of Birmingham, which was lined with dozens of extras dressed in period costumes.

In June it was confirmed that the Peaky Blinders' original writing and directing team will be returning alongside Cillian for the Netflix film adaptation of the hit British series.

Netflix confirmed the news on X with a photograph of the script, while the Oscar winning actor told Deadline: 'It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn't finished with me…

'It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans.'
