She'll certainly make waves in Pamela Anderson's role when the Baywatch remake returns to TV, but ex-model Brooks Nader has two big problems – she can't swim and needs acting lessons.

Yet as filming began, Brooks, 29, a dead ringer for Pamela in the '90s series about California lifeguards, insisted she's diving headfirst into the iconic role.

She said: 'I will surprise everyone. I'm having swimming lessons every day – I have the hardest swim trainer ever. I'm also having acting lessons.'

The Louisiana-born former swimsuit model added: 'I didn't grow up rich so I didn't have any swimming lessons.'

Fox began filming its remake of the hit show off Venice Beach in LA last week, with Brooks, who has dated Prince Constantine-Alexios of Greece and Denmark, posing in Pamela's famous red swimsuit.

A source close to the production said: 'She's landed the biggest new gig on TV without being a swimmer. She convinced producers she could nail it, and has been undergoing intense training.'

She’s set to sizzle in the Baywatch reboot, but Brooks Nader landed the leading role without being able to swim.

The Sports Illustrated model, a dead ringer for original bombshell Pamela Anderson, has secured a lifeguard spot on the iconic series despite her lack of water skills.

Undaunted, the 29-year-old insists she’s diving in headfirst.

She told website TMZ: ‘I’m having acting lessons. I’m going to surprise everyone, and swimming lessons every day. I have the hardest swim trainer ever.’

Asked if she could swim, she confessed: ‘Not really. I didn’t grow up rich so I didn’t have any swimming lessons.’

Fox began filming its remake of the 1990s hit off Venice Beach this week with Brooks, who previously dated Prince Constantine-Alexios of Greece and Denmark, posing in the iconic red swimsuit.

A source close to the production said: ‘Brooks has landed the biggest new gig on US TV without really being a swimmer. She convinced producers she could nail it, and since being cast has been undergoing intense training twice daily. She admitted to some of the crew she wasn’t that interested in the water growing up, so never felt the need to learn properly.’

Revealing news of her casting last week, Brooks wrote: ‘I believed in this long before it made sense. Never give up, chase your dreams no matter how wild they are. Baywatch let’s go!’

Brooks and co-star Livvy Dunne, a former gymnast turned Instagram star who plays an eager junior lifeguard, have reportedly also trained with real-life former Malibu lifeguards.

The series will also star Stephen Amell as Hobie Buchannon, son of Mitch, the role made famous by David Hasselhoff.

There is speculation the former Knight Rider star will make a cameo appearance, just as he and Pammie did in the 2017 movie.
