Tommy Lee Jones breaks silence on daughter Victoria's death at 34
by SAMEER SURI, US SENIOR SHOWBUSINESS REPORTER · Mail OnlineTommy Lee Jones and his family have broken their silence on the death of his daughter Victoria at age 34 - as a witness provides haunting details about the hours leading up to the tragedy.
Paramedics arrived at the upscale Fairmont hotel in San Francisco at 2:52am New Year's Day, responding to a report of a suspected overdose with a victim who had undergone 'color change,' according to 911 audio obtained by the Daily Mail.
Although emergency personnel tried to revive Victoria, she was pronounced dead at the scene, which was turned over to the police for investigation.
Law enforcement insiders claimed her lips and fingernails had a blue tinge when first responders arrived, fueling suspicions she had overdosed.
She was supposedly at the hotel to celebrate New Year's with a group of three or four people who spoke to the emergency services, with one female witness reporting Victoria used cocaine that night, the sources claimed to TMZ.
Victoria's shattered family released a statement the following day, saying: 'We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.'
The Daily Mail has contacted a representative for Tommy Lee Jones for comment on the latest allegations about the night of her death.
Jones shared Victoria as well as his his son Austin, 42, with his second wife Kimberlea Cloughley, whom he was married to from 1981 to 1996.
Victoria's cause of death has not been officially determined, and an autopsy is expected to be performed in order to bring further information to light.

Non-stop drinking, street-fighting in ritzy enclave and ELDER ABUSE... the very troubling final months of Tommy Lee Jones's daughter Victoria before her hotel death aged just 34
A law enforcement source told the Daily Mail there were no signs of foul play, such as trauma to Victoria's body, nor was drug paraphernalia discovered near her.
It emerged Friday that Victoria, a former child actress, was arrested twice last year, with the Daily Mail exclusively obtaining a mugshot taken this June in which she appeared to have a bruise below one eye.
Victoria's first arrest came in April, when Napa Valley police officers were called to perform a wellness check and ended up charging her with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
Then in June, she was arrested again over a domestic violence incident at Napa's Carneros Resort and Spa, where rooms cost $500 a night at minimum.
Although no further information has surfaced about that case, the Daily Mail has seen separate court filings indicating Victoria had also been accused of elder abuse.
She pled not guilty to all the charges against her and was scheduled to appear in court for settlement hearings later this month.
However Victoria was found dead New Year's Day on the 14th floor of the Fairmont San Francisco, with the initial discovery made by a hotel guest who saw her lying on the floor, according to a law enforcement source who spoke to the Daily Mail.
The guest allegedly thought she might be drunk and alerted hotel staff, who came up and saw that she was unresponsive, at which point they started performing CPR and called the paramedics to the hotel.
The Daily Mail obtained the chilling 911 audio from Broadcastify, indicating Victoria was called in as a 'code 3 for the overdose, color change' - with code 3 signifying an emergency that necessitates an immediate response and sirens blaring.
A spokesperson for the San Francisco Police Department told the Daily Mail: 'On 1/1/26 at approximately 3:14 a.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to a hotel located on the 900 block of Mason street regarding a report of a deceased person.'
The statement continued: 'At the scene, officers met with medics, who declared the adult female deceased. The Medical Examiner arrived on scene and conducted an investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 415-575-4444 or Text a Tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.'
Victoria Kafka Jones was born on September 3, 1991, and by 2002 she had made her movie debut with a small part in her father's picture Men in Black II.
She appeared in a handful of acting projects as a child, including a 2005 episode of One Tree Hill and a role that same year a Western called The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, which was directed by her father.
Although she has not acted onscreen since her turn as a cheerleader on One Tree Hill, she has attended the occasional red carpet with Jones as an adult.
In 2017, she posed proudly at his side at the ArcLight Hollywood for the premiere of his movie Just Getting Started, also starring Morgan Freeman and Rene Russo.
That October, she made an appearance with her father at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo International Film Festival, where he was serving as president of the international competition jury.
After directing his daughter in The Three Burials of Melquiades, Jones showered praise on Victoria in an interview promoting the film.
'She’s a good actress, has her SAG card, speaks impeccable Spanish,' he said. 'When she was a baby, I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak to her in Spanish.'
He also related a charming anecdote about having to acclimatize his then 14-year-old daughter to the rigors of working on a Hollywood movie set.
'She had to get up at 5am for her part. One morning, she wouldn’t get out of bed. I said: "Honey, this is work." But she wouldn’t budge,' he told the New Yorker.
'So I fired her. Then, without telling me, the production staff went over and woke her and rushed her out to the set just in time,' he recalled.
