AWK! THIS Controversial A-List Star Reportedly Begged For An Invite To Taylor Swift's Wedding And Was Denied -- But Her Rivals Were On Guest List!

EVERYBODY wanted an invite to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding!

Their MSG ceremony was truly the event of the year! With around 1,000 people on the guest list, it was the place to be this Fourth of July weekend! But not everyone made the cut, such as ex-bestie Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Though that didn’t stop everyone and their mother from trying!

An entertainment insider told Rob Shuter‘s Naughty But Nice Substack on Monday:

“Everyone wanted in. Actors, musicians, billionaires, television stars — people were calling favors and working every connection they had. Getting invited became a status symbol.”

Reps for all kinds of celebs were reportedly reaching out quietly, seemingly to the bride and groom’s teams, hoping to secure an invitation. At the top of the list begging for an invite?? According to this source, none other than Meghan Markle!

An insider dished:

“Meghan wanted to be there. But Taylor and Travis weren’t inviting people for headlines. They invited the people they genuinely wanted to celebrate with.”

Oof. Meghan and Prince Harry also probably had no chance of snagging an invite after Prince William and Princess Catherine were invited!

The Love Story singer and Chiefs tight end have had a close bond with the Prince and Princess of Wales ever since the couple met William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte backstage at an Eras Tour concert. According to insiders, Will and Kate Middleton were invited after a private meeting with Taylor and Travis in London just weeks before the wedding. Fun!

While the royals ultimately didn’t attend the nuptials, the invite showed the couple’s genuine friendship. Another source shared:

“Taylor has a real relationship with William. She and Travis really enjoyed spending time with William and Kate. That’s where the connection is.”

And, ultimately, while there were a lot of famous faces at the arena, the bride and groom were still picky about who could come. It wasn’t all about celeb status! The source said:

“This wasn’t just about who was most famous. It was about who Taylor and Travis actually wanted in the room.”

Yikes! Once again, Meghan didn’t make the cut!
