Prasanth Varma's 1st Female Superhero- Mahakali

Following the blockbuster success of HanuMan, director Prasanth Varma who is introducing Nandamuri Balakrishna’s son Mokshagnya, announced third film from PVCU.

The well-known motion picture production, distribution and acquisition company RKD Studios is foraying into film production with the movie titled Mahakali.

Riwaz Ramesh Duggal will produce the movie on RKD Studios, while RK Duggal will present it. Prasanth Varma is the writer for the movie to be helmed by a female director Puja Aparna Kolluru.

Titled Mahakali, this film intertwines spirituality and mythology with modern themes in Bengal, a region closely tied to Goddess Kali. It beautifully portrays the land's rich traditions through breathtaking visuals and a powerful, emotionally resonant narrative.

The film explores the divine power of Goddess Kali, while addressing themes of discrimination, inner strength, and the reclamation of identity in a world that often undervalues darker skin. It is the first Indian female superhero film.

The title creative features a girl and a tiger set against the backdrop of a circus, where people are running away in fright from the flames engulfing the giant wheel. The title poster is designed in Bengali font and we can observe a diamond-like shape in it.

As announced by the makers, a dark-skinned actress will be roped in for the movie. Music director Smaran Sai and production designer Sri Nagendra Tangalla are the technicians finalized.
