Ashu Reddy Challenges Cheating Case in T'gana HC

Social media personality and actress Ashu Reddy has moved the Telangana High Court seeking to quash a cheating case registered against her.

The case stems from a complaint filed by NRI Y. Dharmendra, who has alleged that Ashu Reddy took more than Rs 9.8 crore from him over a period of time on the pretext of marriage.

Following the complaint, police registered a First Information Report (FIR) last week.

In her plea before the High Court, Ashu Reddy has argued that the FIR was filed without hearing her side of the story or issuing prior notice.

Adding another dimension to the case, her father has stated that financial dealings did occur between Ashu Reddy and the complainant.

Dharmendra on the other hand posted all the bank statements including transactions between him and Ashu Reddy on social media.

The petition is expected to come up for hearing within the next few days.
