In honour of President Bola Tinubu’s spiritual visit to Holy Ka’bah in Makkah, temporary security barriers painted in Nigeria’s national colours of green-white-green were mounted around the sacred site.

President Tinubu was granted the rare privilege of entering the interior of the Holy Ka’bah to offer prayers during his performance of the lesser Hajj (Umrah) in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi authorities temporarily fenced off the structure with green-white-green barriers as a sign of recognition and respect for the Nigerian identity.

President Tinubu expressed astonishment and gratitude for the gesture, calling it a historic and deeply cherished experience

It involves visiting the Grand Mosque, home to the Ka’bah, Islam’s most sacred structure, and performing a series of prescribed acts of worship.

The President was also pictured kissing the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad), which is associated with Tawaf when Muslim pilgrims walk seven times around the Ka’bah.
