Rafael Leao breaks silence on Milan future amid Galatasaray links
by Moronfolu Adeyemi · The Eagle OnlineAC Milan forward Rafael Leao has broken his silence on growing speculation surrounding his future at the Italian club amid reports linking him with a move to Galatasaray.
The Portugal international took to Instagram to distance himself from what he described as “speculation and stories that aren’t true” regarding his professional future.
Leao, 27, said his priority remains performing on the pitch rather than the transfer stories surrounding him during the ongoing window.
“My only thought is on the field: I am concentrated on giving my best, every single game and every single training session,” Leao wrote in an Instagram Story alongside a photograph of himself training with Milan.
The winger then clarified who is authorised to handle matters concerning his professional career.
“Just to avoid any form of speculation and stories that aren’t true, I repeat that for some time I’ve assigned all my interests exclusively to my family and my lawyers.
“Nobody else is authorised to speak for me. My mind is on the next objectives,” he added.
Leao’s statement comes amid continued reports linking him with Turkish champions Galatasaray, with the Super Lig club reportedly interested in securing his signature.
Fenerbahce and Besiktas have also been credited with interest in the former Lille forward, although a move to another one of Europe’s top five leagues has yet to materialise.
Milan are reportedly standing firm on their valuation of Leao, with the Italian club said to have rejected an opening offer from Galatasaray worth around €35 million.

The Rossoneri are reportedly seeking a total package of at least €60 million, including bonuses, before considering a sale of their star attacker.
Leao’s decision to identify only his family and lawyers as those authorised to speak on his behalf also appears to distance him from other individuals who may be involved in discussions over his future.
The Portuguese forward remains under contract with Milan until June 2028, giving the club significant leverage should transfer interest develop further.
For now, however, Leao has made his position clear, insisting that his attention is on his performances and his next objectives rather than the speculation surrounding his future.
