A restaurant in Santorini has placed Greece among the world’s top dining destinations after being named one of the 25 best restaurants in the world for 2026 by Tripadvisor.

The Five Senses Restaurant in Imerovigli, Santorini, ranked 12th in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best awards, putting a Greek restaurant alongside acclaimed dining venues across South America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

The annual rankings are based on traveller reviews and ratings on Tripadvisor, with restaurants recognised for their food, service, atmosphere and overall dining experience.

Santorini makes the global top 25

Located in Imerovigli, the Five Senses Restaurant focuses on Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, combining creative dishes with the dramatic landscape of Santorini.

Tripadvisor lists the restaurant with a 4.9 out of 5 rating from more than 1,000 reviews.

The restaurant’s tasting menu and emphasis on fresh ingredients are among the features highlighted in the Tripadvisor listing, while its rooftop setting provides diners with views across Santorini, particularly around sunset.

The recognition adds another international accolade for Santorini, a destination already renowned worldwide for its scenery, architecture and tourism.

Argentina takes the top spot

The number one restaurant in Tripadvisor’s 2026 global ranking is Fogón Asado in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The restaurant puts Argentina’s traditional asado at the centre of the dining experience, with the cooking taking place in front of diners.

Its eight course tasting menu includes Argentine cuts and dishes such as provoleta, ribeye and tira de asado, accompanied by wines from Argentina.

Singapore’s KOMA Singapore takes second place, followed by The Rhythms Restaurant in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Scotland’s The Witchery by the Castle in Edinburgh ranks fourth, while Meat Market in Valencia, Spain, completes the top five.
