London’s Leicester Square Gardens became the centre of the film world on Tuesday as it hosted the world premiere of Digger, the black comedy directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu and starring Tom Cruise.

The premiere took place as part of the Royal Film Performance, with Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, attending the event, according to Deadline. Proceeds from the evening will support the UK-based Film and TV Charity, which provides assistance to people working in the film and television industries.

Cruise arrived well ahead of the screening in a tuxedo and sunglasses. He posed in front of the film’s specially constructed backdrop and spoke with members of the crowd.

When the royal couple arrived, Iñárritu accompanied Prince William, while Cruise escorted Catherine, Princess of Wales, and introduced them to other members of the cast.

Among the cast members attending the premiere were Sandra Hüller, Jesse Plemons, Riz Ahmed, John Goodman and Michael Stuhlbarg.
