Theo Lucas Seeks Greece’s Eurovision 2027 Selection

by · Greek City Times

Cypriot-born musician Theo Lucas is seeking to represent Greece at the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, putting forward his candidacy for the national selection despite the official submission deadline having passed.

Lucas hopes to secure a place in Sing for Greece 2027, the selection process organised by Greek public broadcaster ERT, with the Eurovision final scheduled to take place in Burgas, Bulgaria.

Now based permanently in Athens, Lucas has been involved in music since his school years. He later pursued formal training at England’s Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM), developing his skills as a performer and songwriter.

His artistic background also extends to dance. An award-winning hip-hop dancer, Lucas incorporates movement into his stage performances as part of a broader contemporary musical style.

His recorded work includes collaborations with established international music industry figures. These include songwriter Penny Foster, known for her work with Lana Del Rey, on the track Rolling Stones, and platinum-selling producer Lorenzo Cosi, whose credits include projects involving David Guetta and Little Mix, on Sunset Martinis.

Lucas has also had music featured in the short film Façade, which received recognition at the BAFTA-accredited Iris Prize Festival.

His live performances have taken him to several international events and prominent venues. His appearances include celebrations marking Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, Commonwealth Day celebrations at Westminster Abbey, a headline performance at Cyprus Pride 2025 and an appearance at Europe House in June 2026.

Lucas is now looking to turn that experience into an opportunity on one of Europe’s biggest music stages.

However, with ERT’s official submission deadline already passed, it remains unclear whether his candidacy can be considered as part of the 2027 selection process.
