Australian singer and songwriter Sia has reportedly sold a 50% stake in her music catalogue for $180 million, in a major deal with Swedish music investment company Pophouse.

According to TMZ, the agreement covers royalties from her record label, as well as publishing rights and original recordings connected to her music.

The deal comes as Sia continues divorce proceedings with Dan Bernard, with documents reportedly detailing how the proceeds from the sale will be treated.

Of the $180 million deal, $165 million relates to songs Sia wrote before her marriage, including some of her biggest hits such as Chandelier and Cheap Thrills.

According to documents cited by TMZ, Bernard has agreed to waive any claim to that $165 million in exchange for $1 million.

The remaining $15 million relates to songs created during the couple’s marriage. That amount is reportedly being held in a separate account while the former couple works through any potential dispute.

Pophouse deal includes Sia music and digital project

The agreement with Pophouse reportedly covers Sia’s publishing rights and original recordings but does not include commercial use of her name or image.

The partnership will also involve the development of an interactive digital production featuring an avatar based on Sia’s music.

Rolling Stone has reported that an official announcement of the deal is expected soon.

Sia and Bernard married in 2023. The singer filed for divorce in March 2025, around a year after the birth of their son, Somersault Wonder Bernard.

The couple share custody of their child.

Sia was also previously ordered to pay Bernard $42,500 a month in spousal support, according to reports.

The catalogue deal represents a major transaction involving one of Australia’s most successful contemporary songwriters, whose catalogue includes global hits such as Chandelier, Cheap Thrills, Elastic Heart and Titanium.
