Sangeetha Vidyalaya’s anniversary
by Author · Star of MysoreMysore/Mysuru: Sri Guru Ganayogi Swara Sangeetha Vidyalaya’s second anniversary celebrations and Sangeetha Samaradhane will be held at Rotary West auditorium in Saraswathipuram on Dec. 21 from 9 am to 9 pm.
Karnatak vocalist Vid. Mysore N. Srinath, BAI Cultural Committee President Umesh, theatre artiste & Mysore Mime Team Founder Mime Goutham will be the chief guests. Chamarajanagar’s Deenabandhu Trust Secretary G.S. Jayadev will preside.
On the occasion, Hindustani Music and Vachana Gayana will be presented by students of Sri Guru Ganayogi Swara Sangeetha Vidyalaya, Mysuru & Hunsur and Deenabandhu Ashram.
Pt. Shivananda Herur, Hanumanth Kumar Belagal and H. Rekha Belagal will take part as special guest singers.
They will be accompanied by Kalaburagi’s Channaiah Aralagundagi and Mysuru’s Sri Guru Ganayogi Swara Sangeetha Vidyalaya Guru Prabhu Rao on harmonium, R. Balasubramanya (disciple of Hariprasad Chourasia) on flute, Ramesh Dhannur, Bengaluru’s Santhosh Kodli and Bhimashankar Hemanoor on tabla, Indrakumar on keyboard and G. Suresh on rhythm pad.
