27,000 Form 6 and 56,000 Form 8 submitted in Mysuru District

SIR: New additions, corrections in voter list

Mysuru: With the period for seeking inclusion of fresh eligible names in voter list and  filing of claims and objections to go on till Sept.23 in the district as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, Mysuru district has recorded filing of 27,017 Form 6  and 56,611 Form 8 voter enumeration forms thus far.

Notably, the city’s NR Constituency recorded the highest number of Form submissions in the district, with 6,893 persons filing Form 6 and 12,178 people submitting Form 8, followed by Chamundeshwari segment in second place.

Overall, the district has seen submission of 27,017 Form 6 and 56,611 Form 8.

The Election Commission has announced that the final electoral rolls of Karnataka would be published on Oct.27. Earlier, the draft electoral rolls was published on Aug.24 and the period for filing claims and objections began from the same day.
