No streetlights on Bogadi Main Road
by Author · Star of MysoreSir,
I would like to bring to attention the serious issue of the lack of streetlights on Bogadi Main Road, starting from Brigade Palm Groves. This road witnesses heavy traffic throughout the day and night. It serves as a lifeline for thousands of commuters travelling from the city to several layouts and rural areas, including Maratikyathanahalli, Ganagarahundi and many more villages extending up to Gaddige.
The stretch is densely populated and traffic remains constant at all hours. After dusk, the entire road turns pitch dark, leading to several minor incidents and near-miss situations involving pedestrians crossing the road and stray animals such as dogs and cattle.
It is especially dangerous for two-wheelers, as the darkness greatly reduces visibility. Even four-wheelers resort to using high-beam headlights, which further blinds and endangers two-wheeler riders.
I request the authorities concerned to take immediate action and install streetlights along this stretch to prevent major accidents and ensure public safety.
