Actor Ravichandran to inaugurate Srirangapatna Dasara

Mandya: Kannada film actor V. Ravichandran will inaugurate this year’s Srirangapatna Dasara. Mandya DC Dr. Kumara and Srirangapatna MLA Rameshbabu Bandi Siddegowda extended the official invitation to the actor at his residence in Bengaluru yesterday.

This year’s Srirangapatna Dasara will be held from Oct. 15 to 18. Ravichandran will inaugurate the Jumboo Savari at Bannimantap in Kirangur by showering flower petals to the portrait of Goddess Chamundeshwari installed upon the elephant.

The District Administration has also organised ‘Yuva Sambhrama’ on Oct. 12 and 13 at the taluk stadium during which students from various colleges in the district will present cultural programmes.
