This event is sponsored by Vidu. G.S. Rajalakshmi and Vid. G.S. Ramanujan.

Profile: Archana is the daughter of Govinda Upadhyaya & Sharada, while Samanvi is the daughter of Shankaranarayana & Radha. Though they are not biological sisters, they are well-known as ‘Lathangi Sisters.’

Recognising their talent at a young age, Dr. V. Aravinda Hebbar and Vidu. Vasantalakshmi Hebbar took them into their ‘Gurukula,’ providing them with foundational education and guidance. They later pursued advanced training under renowned Vidwan Chitravina N. Ravikiran.

The Sisters have gained significant acclaim, performing in approximately 200 concerts to date. They have recorded ‘Dasarchane,’ a collection of 101 compositions by Haridasas compiled by Aravinda Hebbar.

Lathangi Sisters have been honoured with numerous accolades, including M.S. Subbulakshmi Fellowship Award (Shanmukhananda, Mumbai).
