Robbie Williams confirmed as first headliner for Come Together festival in Newcastle
by Simon Duke · ChronicleLiveHe's one of the biggest pop stars of the last few decades and Robbie Williams will perform in Newcastle for the first time in over 10 years to open the huge Come Together festival next year.
More than 30 years have now passed since Robbie first burst into the spotlight as the youngest member of Take That, enjoying four years of chart hits with the nation's favourite boyband, before shocking fans with his sudden departure in the summer of 1995. Fast forward two years and solo single Angels was the song that changed everything for Robbie, when it took his career to new heights and saw copies of his debut album Life Thru A Lens sell by the boatload.
Other classics in Robbie's packed back catalogue include Let Me Entertain You, Millennium, Feel, Rock DJ, She's The One and Candy, with him also having great success with his two swing inspired albums In the last year, Robbie's Netflix documentary was a big binge watch hit on the streaming platform and, just days after he announced a UK tour for summer 2025, it's been confirmed that he will open the Come Together festival in Newcastle in June.
Announced last week, Come Together will take over the Town Moor from June 4-8 next year and it will be Robbie's job to get the whole thing going on opening night and he's already looking forward to it. saying: "I am stoked to headline what is essentially my own one-day festival, and where better than Newcastle? Howay, it’s ganna be mint man. I can’t wait to see you next year.”
Ticket prices are to be confirmed and there will be a range of VIP options also available.

Robbie won't be the only big name on the Come Together bill for June 4, as he will be joined on the night by a packed line-up, which includes Kaiser Chiefs, Little Mix star turned solo sensation Perrie Edwards and Newcastle's own Andrew Cushin, fresh from supporting Louis Tomlinson in America and having his own sold out US tour.
The line-up for June 4 is completed by Lottery Winners, Nell Mescal, Guy Sebastian, Deco, Sonny Tennet, Charlie Floyd, and Harriet Rose.
