Manchester City and Arsenal miss out on ‘next Lamine Yamal’ – Trips to PL duo

Arsenal and Manchester City have missed on out youngster Leo Dorsin to FC Nordsjælland.

On Tuesday, the Danish club confirmed they’ve completed the purchase of the 16-year-old from Rosenborg BK. They also said he has signed a three-year contract and will initially start with their U19s.

Tipsbladet have a report on interest showed by Arsenal, Manchester City and several other clubs. They describe the winger as a ‘generational talent’ and label him the ‘next Lamine Yamal’.

It’s claimed the Norway U16 international had managed to attract interest from top clubs across Europe. This includes Manchester City, Arsenal, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Ajax.

According to Tipsbladet, Dorsin underwent trials with the Premier League duo and three other clubs. They ‘all wanted him’ after the young attacker impressed them during trials.

It isn’t made clear whether Manchester City, Arsenal or any other club had made offers to sign the Norwegian. That won’t matter now as he’s joined Nordsjælland.

Dorsin trained with Rosenborg’s first team but didn’t make his senior debut with them. If he were to impress for Nordsjælland, top clubs could return for him in the future.

For now, Pep Guardiola’s side and the Gunners would be disappointed to have missed out on Dorsin.
