Director taking urgent action to stop Chelsea signing player – Blues in advanced negotiations

by · Sport Witness

Four days ago, Africa Foot reported Chelsea are keen on signing Marseille youngster Saïd Remadnia. They also stated the west London club are already in advanced negotiations with his agent.

Africa Foot made no mention of the Ligue 1 side’s stance on parting ways with the 16-year-old.

But! Football Club relays the claim about Chelsea being crazy about the winger and provides the latest.

Remadnia has already impressed for Marseille U19s and is considered one of the brightest prospects of their academy. He’s yet to make his first team debut and their coaching staff are no longer said to be hiding their desire to promote him.

With Chelsea keen on securing the Algeria U17 international’s services, the French club’s ‘response was swift’.

It’s claimed Marseille sporting director Medhi Benatia is taking urgent action to secure the teenager’s future and ‘leave no hope’ for the Blues.

The Ligue 1 club are accelerating their efforts to keep the young attacker. They want to offer him the right surroundings to continue his development, at a time when the ‘pressure intensifies’ from Chelsea.

Although Marseille are stepping up, the outcome is still not clear. The winger needs to decide between staying at Marseille or joining Chelsea.

If it’s the latter, he won’t be able to move to the UK until he turns 18 in March 2027. Enzo Maresca’s side will have the possibility of placing him elsewhere until then.
