Shiba Inu Rooms Anime Arrives in 2027

by · Siliconera

Shueisha announced there will be an anime adaptation of the ghost dog manga series Shiba Inu Rooms. It will be handled by TMS Entertainment. That will show up in 2027, though we don’t know exactly when. An official site is open, and there’s already a teaser trailer. Since the site is in English as well as Japanese, we should see it worldwide.

The title is pretty self-explanatory. Kori Momose is in high school, but she’s living alone due to transferring schools. She finds a place called Maison Shiba that is only 4,800 yen per month. However, the reason it is so cheap is because the place is haunted by the ghost of a Shiba Inu named Mu. Her goal is to help the dog move on so she can have the cheap room all to herself. The manga’s run started back in June 2024, and Viz Media will release the second volume in English on November 3, 2026.

Here’s the first trailer for the Shiba Inu Rooms anime adaptation. We see Kori check out the apartment, move in, and meet the ghost Mu that’s already haunting the place. We also get to hear the Japanese voice actors for both characters. Kori Momose is voiced by Niina Nakabayashi, and Mu is played by Mutsumi Tamura.
