New The Ring Sadako Figure Could Brighten Your Room

There are two variants of a new CCP Japan Middle Size Series (MSS) Sadako figure heading to Japan, and one version of The Ring girl glows in the dark. Both the standard and glow-in-the-dark types are expected to appear in September 2026 in Japan. The basic version costs ¥5,280 (~$34), while the glowing one will be ¥5,610 (~$36). AmiAmi and Big Bad Toy Store are two of the first retailers that ships worldwide to show listings for both of them. These are based on the original Japanese depiction of the character, but do resemble the one from the US remake.

Both of the figures will stand at about 5 inches tall (13cm). They both present something of a chibi approach to the character. She’s wearing her white dress and lurching forward, with her long, black hair completely covering her face. The basic version has a more elaborate paint job, with tinges of red at the tips of her finger and toes and more defined hair and skin tones. The glow-in-the-dark option is a more translucent sort of yellow, though there are black tones to her hair and edge of her dress and pink accents on her fingernails and toenails.

Sadako is a popular character when it comes to merchandise, with the girl from The Ring showing up on things like keychains and shirts in addition to items like these. One of the last items to show up in Japan was a Bandai Namco prize figure of her that looks like she’s emerging from a flatscreen TV, and the design lets you also remove her from the monitor to make it look like she’s coming out of other devices. 

The CCP Japan MSS Sadako The Ring figures standard and glow-in-the-dark versions will both show up in Japan in September 2026. Some stores are already showing listings to ship the item outside of Japan. While the original movie and book appeared worldwide, the latest film Sadako DX was limited to a Japanese release.
