Every ‘The Boys’ spin-off and prequel in the works

Based on the comic book series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the satirical superhero series follows a group of vigilantes, led by Butcher, as they try to take down self-serving superpowered individuals who work for Vought International.
The show’s cast is led by Karl Urban, Jack Quaid and Antony Starr, alongside Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara and Nathan Mitchell.
The Boys premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2019 and has since become one of the most popular shows on the platform. The fifth and final season debuted in April 2026.
What spin-offs from The Boys have already been released?
The Boys Presents: Diabolical
The show’s first spin-off was animated anthology series The Boys Presents: Diabolical, where each episode had its own animation style and standalone story. It spanned eight episodes and sees many of the main show’s cast reprise their roles, including Antony Starr as Homelander and Chace Crawford as The Deep.
Gen V
This live-action spin-off follows a group of young adult superheroes at Godolkin University, where students are competing for a chance to join The Seven. Jaz Sinclair leads the cast as Marie, but there are guest appearances from the main show’s characters throughout both its first and second season. A third season has yet to be announced.
Seven On 7

While technically designed to market the main show, web-series Seven On 7 is still a worthwhile distraction for fans of The Boys. Each short episode is a news broadcast from the fictional Vought News Network, which serve as send-ups of US news networks like CNN and Fox News. You can find all the episodes on YouTube.
What spin-offs are in development?
Vought Rising
The Boys’ first prequel series is set to be Vought Rising, which is expected to premiere in 2027 on Amazon. This follows the origins of Vought in the 1950s, with Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash reprising their roles of Soldier Boy and Stormfront respectively. Other confirmed cast members include Mason Dye, Elizabeth Posey and Will Hochman.
The Boys: Mexico
At the time of writing, this spin-off isn’t officially in production. However, The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke told Entertainment Weekly in April 2026 a pilot draft had been submitted to Amazon, so there’s hope of it coming to fruition. Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal are reportedly serving as executive producers, but it’s unclear if they’ll star.
