Tomorrow X Together (TXT) singer Yeonjun has dropped a music video for his debut digital single ‘GGUM’.

On September 19 at 6pm KST, the K-pop idol unveiled the pre-release single to his upcoming debut mixtape. In the visual for ‘GGUM’, Yeonjun causes chaos wherever he goes, challenging and rebelling against the expectations that the rest of the world tries to place on him.

Easy thing / No fun now, up the ante in my game / Got hit that gum chomp, chomp / Gum chomp, chomp / Gum chomp, chomp,” he chants in the chorus. The rapper will release his full mixtape on October 29.

The release of ‘GGUM’ marks the first time any TXT member has branched out to solo projects since their debut in 2019. The group – completed by Taehyun, Huening Kai, Beomgyu and Soobin – last released music as a full unit earlier this year in April with the mini-album ‘minisode 3: Tomorrow’.

In an interview with NME, Taehyun said of the record: “At the end of the day, we thought of tomorrow or the future – the fact that you always get a new tomorrow seemed like another miracle to us”.

TXT are currently in the midst of their 2024 ‘Act: Promise’ world tour. They have since completed both the US and Japan legs of the tour, and are set to continue the Asian leg in cities such as Jakarta, Taipei and more in the coming months.
