Sugababes’ original line-up reunited in 2019, and the group have since sold out The O2 in London and performed at major festivals across Europe. This summer, their performance on Glastonbury’s West Holts stage resulted in the area being closed off to fans due to demand.

The original trio played together at Worthy Farm for the first time in 2022.

Speaking at Glasto ’24, Sugababes recalled being “one of the first, if not the first, female pop band to play the main stage” at the legendary festival. Founding members Buchanan and Buena appeared on the Pyramid Stage in 2003 alongside Heidi Range, who had replaced Donaghy in the line-up.

Buena said: “I feel like, by then, we’d already been able to kind of cross over into different genres of music. We’d done the NME tour and the BRITs, so I felt like we’d already made a name for ourselves.”

In late 2022, Sugababes shared their previously unreleased album ‘The Lost Tapes’ as a Christmas gift to fans. The record was written almost eight years prior, but had been unheard due to “various reasons beyond [the band’s] control”.

This summer saw Sugababes team up with Two Shell for a pulsing rework of their 2002 hit ‘Round Round’, titled ‘Round’.
