Netflix has released a teaser and revealed the premiere date for its upcoming K-drama series Mr. Planktonstarring Lee Yoo-mi and Woo Do-hwan. Read on for everything you need to know about the show’s cast, plot, trailers and more.

What is the plot of Mr. Plankton?

The upcoming Netflix K-drama rom-com is set to follow the last days of a man named Hae-jo as he searches for his biological father. He is accompanied by Jae-mi, who is described as the unluckiest woman in the world. Jae-mi herself embarks on the search for Hae-jo’s father with him the morning of her wedding to another man named Eo Heung.

Who will star in the upcoming Netflix K-drama?

Mr. Plankton’s two main protagonists, Hae-jo and Jae-mi, will be portrayed by Woo Do-hwan of Bloodhounds and Mad Dogs fame and Lee Yoo-mi from Squid Game and Strong Girl Namsoon. 

Other cast members revealed also include Sweet Home’s Oh Jung-se as Eo Heung and veteran actress Kim Hae-sook, who previously starred in Gyeongseong Creature, Revenant and more.

Is there a trailer for Mr. Plankton?

On October 14, Netflix dropped the official teaser for the forthcoming series. The clip begins with Hae-jo at the hospital, where he asks the doctor how much time he has left, before revealing that he “has a bomb in my head”. On the other hand, Jae-mi herself is also seeing a medical professional about “premature menopause”, which throws a wrench into her plans of starting a family.

The two of them cross paths and the teaser transitions into a montage of sweet moments between the pair, as Hae-jo says: “That’s why we’re a match made in heaven”. The rest of the teaser then provides glimpses into the duo’s unlucky journey together.
