There are many things you can do while exploring The Zone in Stalker 2. One of those is finding Artifacts, but as with most things in the game, it isn’t clear how to do this. Well, we have put dozens of hours into the game and have some initial tips to find Artifacts early on.

This page will take you through where Artifacts usually are in Stalker 2, as well as how to properly use your scanner.

How to find Artifacts in ‘Stalker 2’

To find Artifacts in Stalker 2, look underground, in caves, and in areas with lots of Anomalies bunched close together. This usually suggests that there is an Artifact to be found. You can then pull out your scanner, and your closeness to an Artifact is signified by how often it beeps and how quickly it beeps.

If it starts beeping faster and more rapidly, then that means you are getting closer to an Artifact.

Artifacts will be hidden until you are right next to their location, where they will appear out of thin air. So, if you are struggling, simply wander around the area where your scanner beeps the fastest until it appears. It can be tricky to work this out initially in your playthrough.

Within each of the game’s regions, there are tons of underground areas and caves by marked locations where you can find Artifacts. Additionally, they can be found in open areas and building interiors, so while looting locations be sure to pull out your scanner to check if there are any artifacts nearby, as you can’t tell by simply listening to the beeping. You need to keep an eye on the light on the Scanner too.
