Oasis announce limited-edition ‘Definitely Maybe’ vinyl singles box to mark 30 years of ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’

Oasis have announced a limited-edition vinyl box set of their ‘Definitely Maybe’ singles to mark the 30th anniversary of ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’. Find all the details below.

The track was released exactly 30 years ago today (on October 10, 1994) as the fourth and final single from the Britpop band’s seminal debut album – which itself has been celebrated with a special reissue.

To further commemorate the three-decade milestone, Liam and Noel Gallagher will drop a new ‘Definitely Maybe’ singles box set next Friday (October 18).

It’ll boast four marbled seven-inch vinyl records featuring the 2014 remastered versions of ‘Supersonic’, ‘Shakermaker’, ‘Live Forever’ and ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’, along with their respective B-sides.

The collection will be packaged in a replica of the highly collectible original 1996 CD cigarette-style box. It’ll be strictly limited to 4,000 copies only. You can pre-order your copy here.

Released in August, the 30th anniversary reissue of Oasis’ ‘Definitely Maybe’ contains a rare version of ‘Sad Song’ sung by Liam, as well as ‘Up In The Sky (Monnow Valley Version)’, ‘Columbia (Sawmills Outtake)’ and more.

LG headed out on his ‘Definitely Maybe’ 30th anniversary UK and Ireland solo tour this summer and showcased the album in full when he headlined Reading & Leeds 2024.

Shortly afterwards, Oasis announced their massive UK and Ireland reunion gigs for next year – marking the Gallaghers’ first live performances together for 16 years. The band have since confirmed further Live ’25 concerts in North America and Australia.

NME exclusively revealed that Oasis would be playing in Sydney and Melbourne in a report last month. The article also listed upcoming appearances in other international territories such as South Korea, Japan, Brazil, Chile and Argentina.

The group had previously confirmed that their 2025 UK and Ireland dates would be the only European stops on their comeback tour. They later told fans that plans were “underway” for further performances around the globe.

However, Oasis have ruled out a headline performance at Glastonbury 2025 and said they won’t be appearing at any other festivals next summer. Liam and Noel have shot down rumours of a return to Knebworth in 2026 too.

In other news, Liam has said that he and Noel have no plans to do any interviews together about their long-awaited reunion. “We’re scared of the media asking us intrusive questions and trying to pick holes in our relationship,” he explained.

The frontman also told fans that a new Oasis album was “already finished”, and reaffirmed the statement to another fan, writing: “It’s in the bag mate fuck the air.”

It was reported last month that LG was looking for “established acts” to open for the band in the UK and Ireland. He has since suggested that Manic Street Preachers and Richard Ashcroft could take on support slots.

Elsewhere, Blossoms recently spoke to NME about the possibility of appearing on the bill at the Live ’25 dates. It currently looks unlikely that Suede or Fontaines D.C. will be on the line-up after Liam hit out at both bands online.
