Bam Margera rules out any ‘Jackass’ reunion: “I never want to see them ever again in my life”

"Not in 10 million years"

Bam Margera has said he never wants to see Johnny Knoxville again, and has ruled out any future Jackass reunion.

The stunt performer was fired during the production of 2022’s Jackass Forever after allegedly violating a series of drug and alcohol tests. He later sued Paramount, Knoxville and director Jeff Tremaine over his dismissal, and the lawsuit was settled out of court.

Margera does however appear in the newly released Jackass: Best And Last via archive footage, although he did not film any new scenes for the movie.

Now, speaking to Rolling Stone around the release of that film, he has said he still plans to watch it, but has firmly ruled out any chance of reuniting with the group.

“I’ll definitely check out the movie, and I hope it’s good, but as far as a reunion, it’s not going to happen, not in 10 million years,” he said.

He specified that he does not have “bad blood” with the rest of the Jackass cast, stressing that his issues lie with Knoxville and director Tremaine. “I never want to see them ever again in my life,” he said. “Enough is enough.”

In his lawsuit, Margera alleged “inhumane” and “discriminatory” treatment over his wellness agreement and claimed the producers had been “setting me up to fail”. Paramount previously said efforts had been made to support his sobriety before he was removed from the film.

Speaking about the experience now, Margera said he had been expecting to be paid $5million for Jackass Forever and was “very fucking angry” when he was told he would not be in the movie.

Knoxville, meanwhile, recently told GQ that the group had “drawn a hard line” with Margera because they believed it was a chance to help him. “As long as he’s thriving and he’s healthy, that’s all I care about,” he said. “Selfishly, I would love him to be in my life again. But that’s on his own time.”

Last year, Margera similarly ruled out returning to Jackass, saying: “You couldn’t offer me enough money to want to do another Jackass with them. The damage has been done.”

In December 2023, Margera said he had reached 100 days sober and partly credited Mark Wahlberg with inspiring him in the gym.

Two years ago, he pleaded guilty to two counts of disorderly conduct after an incident involving his brother, and was sentenced to six months’ probation.

Jackass: Best And Last was released in cinemas last month, and is being billed as the final film in the franchise. In a three-star review, NME wrote: “With ‘My Way’ playing, Knoxville, the leader of these merry pranksters, looks misty-eyed as he’s confronted by the fact this chapter of his life is over. As the film takes a bow with one last gross-out moment – a foul-smelling remix on Twister – your eyes will be watering too.”
