At the time of writing, Netflix still hasn't confirmed a release date for the return of Guy Ritchie series The Gentlemen season 2, and I've been keeping my fingers crossed for a late 2026 release.

It's been two years since the dark comedy debuted on the streaming service, taking Ritchie's hit movie of the same name and creating a new unhinged drama set in an identical world.

On average, Netflix seems to take two years producing a season of TV before it comes to our screens, so a late 2026 release window feels right for The Gentlemen's next installment.

Luckily for me, I got some inside scoop from James himself. Not only is season 2 "finished" and will be released this year, but it's set to be a lot "darker" than anything we saw in season 1.

"We've done it," James tells me. "We've wrapped season 2, doing cuts at the moment and there are still tweaks to be done. But it will be coming out in the fall [US]."

Result! Our release date window is confirmed, and I was on the money. Annoyingly, this could be any time between September-November, which Netflix likely won't confirm until closer to the time.
