So, Shaboozey's real name is Collins Obinna Chibueze — and after reading that, you may be wondering, "Where'd he get Shaboozey from?"

Well, fear not — because in a new interview with Billboard, Shaboozey revealed all.

Shaboozey explained that he took on the moniker after hearing his high school football coach mangle the spelling of his last name while growing up in Virginia.

So, Shaboozey flipped "Chibueze" into "Shaboozey" — simple as that.

“It could be a little confusing at times,” he explained. “Hearing your name [mispronounced] during attendance was always a thing; you felt like you had to make it easier for everyone else to understand.”
