One Of Pete Davidson’s Exes Slammed Him As An “Absolute Joke Of A Human Being” In A Scathing IG Comment — But There's Actually More To The Story

As you may have heard, Pete Davidson found himself in the headlines last week after he aired his thoughts on influencers.
Calling out women content creators in particular, Pete told Variety: "It's bad, and it makes me sad, you know. And girls are just talking to themselves on there, and they're like, 'OK, come get ready with me.' And I'm like, 'Who the fuck are you? What do you do? Nothing. What the fuck is this?'"
"They make 40 million a year. What? And then I'm like, 'The world's broken,'" he continued. "There's girls my age that go on TikTok, and they'll, like, mutter like a thing and then do this, like, dance. And I'm like, 'What the fuck are you doing?' This is insane. Does no one else see how fucking insane and lame this is? And these girls are, like, super famous. Like, everyone's like, 'Oh my god, I can't believe.'"
This prompted significant backlash from people who called out the double standards. "If the influencer industry was dominated by men, no one would care or have any qualms about a single thing," one Instagram user wrote.
And one of the latest people to speak out against Pete is singer-songwriter Olivia O'Brien, whom he apparently "dated" in 2020.
Olivia's remarks came under an IG post shared over the weekend by a business and culture content creator named Rachel Lowenstein. In the post, Rachel slammed Pete's "rant" about influencers, suggesting that it was "less about influencer culture and more about his disdain for women particularly."
"Pete Davidson's cultural capital has been generated less by his talent as a comedian and more by his proximity to famous women," read one slide in the post, which was scattered with photographs of Pete with famous exes such as Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, Kate Beckinsale, and Margaret Qualley. "A man whose whole career was built on women's attention thinks women chasing other women's attention is embarrassing," the last slide of the post read.
The comments section is flooded with people criticizing Pete's "embarrassing" behavior. And Olivia, who has 1.2 million followers, joined the conversation to share some claims about her personal experience with the comic.
"i was dating him in 2020 and found out we were no longer together by seeing on snapchat daily mail that he went public with a more famous woman lmaooo," Olivia's comment read. "he is an absolute joke of a human being."
Olivia's comment gained a lot of attention, and another IG user responded to it directly, alleging that they'd had a "similar" experience with Pete. Olivia then replied, saying that it "sounds about exactly right."
"not sure how he has the time considering we were texting 24 hours a day and falling asleep on facetime when we weren’t together," Olivia alleged in her response. "busy boy! lmfao."
For the record, this is not the first time that Olivia has talked about this. Four years ago, around the time that Pete was dating Kim Kardashian, Olivia claimed that she and Pete had some kind of relationship in 2020, and that he allegedly ended things with her to start seeing Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor.
Pete and Phoebe were linked from February to August 2021.
