Taylor Swift fans are raising their eyebrows over Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s recent Instagram activity after his account was caught “liking” a shady post about the singer.

For context, Taylor and Dwayne have shared a super wholesome friendship for years, with the wrestler often making it known that he genuinely appreciates her.

Back in 2015, for example, he chose her hit song “Shake It Off” for his Lip Sync Battle performance — and a few years later, he voiced the male character in her music video for “The Man.”

Dwayne has also featured Taylor’s music in his film DC League of Super-Pets, while describing her as “the biggest star” in the world in 2024.

And just last year, Dwayne appeared on Taylor’s husband Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast, where he referenced the singer positively throughout the interview.

With this in mind, fans were left perplexed this past weekend after noticing that Dwayne’s official Instagram account had “liked” a video criticizing Taylor’s singing ability and "talent."

“She’s not a good singer. She’s not a good dancer. She’s not a good songwriter. So what is she? If not a carefully crafted fake?” the post was captioned, while the actual video went on to compare Taylor’s singing ability to that of other stars like Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, and Aretha Franklin.

Reacting to The Rock’s “like,” some Swifties admitted they were “disappointed” as they questioned if the move was accidental. “how do you lip sync to her song, be in a music video, ask for her to release (before it was out) bad blood taylors version so it could be included in your movie without using the stolen version at that time...to this…???” one fan asked.

However, others seemed more convinced that the Instagram “like” had to have been unintentional.

At the time of writing, Dwayne’s “like” is still visible under the video, so who knows! Let us know what you think in the comments.
