The visuals for the song, "Pink Material," released on Thursday, show the 20-year-old arriving at a lavish home in a lace minidress and matching headscarf with a feather boa and large sunglasses, with two poodles in tow. From there, the video follows her as she moves through the house, dancing and switching into glamorous outfits while Tory sings about a "material girl."

But when the video was released, it quickly sparked backlash, largely because of Tory's 2022 conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.

After Alabama posted the video on TikTok, one person commented, "NOT TORY GUN LANEZ 😭😭😭💔." "Girl...surely you know better," one viewer wrote, while another said, "Alabama I literally love you so much but Tory Lanes? Girl..."

"This not it bama," someone said, as one more wrote, "Anyways... stream Megan the stallion!" with a clown GIF.

Amid the backlash, Alabama addressed the criticism on her TikTok story.

"Please, I don't want to hear all the nagging about the video," she said in a clip filmed inside a car. "I was just the girl in the video."
Alabama also responded directly in the comments. After one person called her a "bird," she replied, "You wish you could me in every life time." She also liked a comment that said, "Everyone acting like they don't listen to Tory anymore."
