Cynthia rushed in to push him off Ariana. The encounter visibly shook the "positions" singer, and Cynthia was rightfully concerned for her co-star and upset by the incident.

Since multiple angles of the incident have gone viral, they have sparked several comedic videos that distastefully mock the encounter. On Nov. 28, @thefilmdivaposted an Instagram Reel questioning the disturbing video and calling out the underlying misogyny in how Cynthia is depicted in a lot of memes/videos.
When the creator asked if she was the only person thinking this, one comment from Grammy Award-winning artist SZA truly stood out. "Ir not bugging and no one is too woke ! It's CLASSIC Misogynoir! NOTHING ELSE !!!" she wrote.

"can't believe it's openly a thing in 2025 .. everyone's gonna have cognitive dissonance 2 years later like 'remember when everyone attacked Cynthia for being black bald and nurturing?'" SZA continued. "'that was crazy"..it could jus stop now lol 🤷🏾♀️."

SZA wasn't the only one fired up by the blatant and over-the-top disrespect Cynthia has received on social media regarding the Wicked: For Good press tour. Here's what others had to say in response to @thefilmdiva's video:
In this Reddit thread, one person wrote, "I’ve held my tongue but the way people have been acting towards Cynthia Ariana and Michelle this entire press tour has rubbed me the wrong way. like idc yall have all taken it too fucking far and it’s now harassment in my opinion. Nobody has any sort of empathy anymore that these celebs are real fucking human beings like the rest of us. Everyone’s so damn mean like god. Glad Sza called out the misogynoir towards Cynthia."
