Robert Pattinson has a pretty interesting history when it comes to his personal hygiene and beliefs about cleaning. From admitting that he didn't see the point in washing his hair to eating food straight out of Jennifer Lawrence's trash, the actor has been involved in some nasty allegations over the years. 😭

And now, Andrew Garfield has added another one to the list by revealing the seriously disgusting thing that he once found in Robert's bedroom. And I fear this one might actually be the worst of them all...

In case you didn't know, Andrew and Robert go wayyyy back. Before they were famous, the two were part of a group of aspiring actors living in LA in the 2000s. Other members of their friend group included Jamie Dornan, Eddie Redmayne, and Charlie Cox, who have also shared some funny stories about those days over the years.

Back in 2022, Jamie recalled that he and Eddie lived together around 2008, while Andrew, Robert, and Charlie regularly hung out at their place. He also admitted that they were "pretty messy" back then, which might have been an understatement.

Andrew recently revisited those days on the Dish Podcast, clarifying that he didn't actually live with the other actors. "They were all living together, and I was pretty much living with them. I was just sleeping elsewhere," he explained.

But during a separate interview with Capital, Andrew shared a much more disgusting story about one of his old friends. When asked who the messiest in the group was, he laughed and then said, "I'm gonna imagine it was probably Rob."

He revealed, "I remember going up into his room at one point, and I think there was like — sorry, Rob — there was like, I think he'd like this story, there was a half-eaten cheeseburger from four days previous with cigarette butts put out on the thing."

Andrew defended him by saying, "It was like that vibe. It was students. We were students, ostensibly. We were just like actor students, and we were just absolute messes."

And while Andrew seemed to find the memory humorous, the internet didn't seem fazed at all...

And if you're wondering what these comments are about, they date back to 2009. Extra asked Robert if he'd ever gone six weeks without washing his hair, and he replied: "Probably. I don't know. I don't really see the point in washing your hair. If you don't care if your hair is clean, then why would you wash it?"

During the filming of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, an insider even claimed, "He stinks. I mean, it's awful. He never showers, and it drives people on the set crazy. […] He completely reeks."

Robert has even spoken about his cleaning habits, saying, "I don't clean my apartment 'cause I don't care." He explained that he only needed his home for sleeping and didn't see much point in keeping it tidy.

Then, in 2025, Jennifer Lawrence revealed on The Graham Norton Show that she'd once fed Robert food straight out of her garbage without telling him. She recalled Robert stopping by her house and asking for something to eat, but her leftovers had already been thrown away. So, while he was in the bathroom, she secretly retrieved the food from the trash and served it to him anyway.

"We're all just kind of, like, watching him eat this trash," Jennifer recalled. And when Robert asked for more, she finally admitted where the food had come from. According to Jennifer, he simply replied, "I don't mind," and "then he just, like, pulled it out of the trash and kept eating it."

So, what do you think: Is all of this just classic Robert Pattinson behavior, or have we been giving this man a pass for too long just because he's iconic? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below...
