"It's Refreshing To See": Everyone Is Talking About This Surprisingly "Normal" Detail In Rihanna's New Family Pics Outside Her Childhood Home

In an adorable full-circle moment, Rihanna recently returned to Barbados with her kids and paid a visit to...Rihanna Drive. Yep, you heard that right.

Back in 2017, the street where Rihanna grew up in Bridgetown, Barbados, was renamed in her honor. The street used to be called Westbury New Road, and Rihanna — or Robyn, as she was then known — was raised there in a three-bedroom bungalow.

The property and the surrounding area are deemed a "cultural landmark," complete with an adorable plaque on the ground where fans can pose for pictures outside. And this week's guest of honor was Bad Gal RiRi herself.

Joined by her and A$AP Rocky's kids — 4-year-old RZA, 3-year-old Riot, and soon-to-be 1-year-old Rocki — Rih snapped some adorable pictures outside her childhood home, which she posted to Instagram on Aug. 11.

"one minute I feel like that kid from Westbury…the next minute I’m bringing my own kids back to 'Rihanna Drive,'" she captioned the post. "Trippy how life works! And the Glory STILL and WILL ALWAYS belong to the Almighty Creator!!!"

Over on Reddit, fans are loving Rihanna's major "mom energy" in the photos. And despite her superstar status, people are also showing appreciation for how "normal" her kids' outfits are, especially compared to how other celebs dress their children. "The kids look like kids," someone pointed out.

"It's refreshing to see Rihanna's kids in normal-looking kids' clothes — and not decked out in custom high-end pieces (at least that's not obvious)," one user wrote. "Kids grow like crazy (especially when really young) — is it really that necessary to have them in custom Chanel/Off White/etc... It's their money, and they're entitled to spend it however they wish. But I've always found it a bit 'I have money' in a very shouty, tacky way when other celebrities have done this with their children. Like when someone buys a tee or hoodie just glazed with a designer logo."

Showing love for Riot's sweet Spider-Man outfit, someone echoed that it's "really refreshing to see a celeb dressing her kids like KIDS."

Someone did make a point of saying that Rih and Rocky have been known to dress the children in designer clothes every so often. However, they clearly understand the time and place of it all. The Smurfs red carpet premiere might call for custom Baby Dior, but when it's time to stroll the streets of Barbados on a hot day, you best believe Riot's gonna be rocking his Spidey shirt, matching shoes, and what appears to be a pair of Manchester City soccer shorts. If that's not a "normal" kid outfit, I don't know what is.
