Forget The HYROX Girl, These Celebs Admitted To Pooping Themselves On Set, On Stage, And At Work

By now you'll have all heard of Joanna Wietrzyk, the HYROX athlete of explosive diarrhea fame. While the public health and biohazard issues she caused were obviously unsafe, it turns out having an accident while working isn't totally uncommon.

In fact, many celebs, from actors to singers, have admitted to relieving themselves on the job. Here are some of their stories:

Justine Lupe once had to pause production to clean herself up after an unfortunate incident.

The Succession and Nobody Wants This star was on set once and had to go to the toilet to take a number two. What she didn't expect, was for someone to knock on the door while she was in the process:

"I instinctively, like reflex, stood, then like wiped and realised that a piece of poop had fallen into my dress."

"I put the dress on without knowing it was in there and I smeared poop all over my back" she added, "While I was shooting a show, and then they had to wash the dress while everybody waited."

Nice...

Jim O’Heir's stomach bug got the better of him on set, and it made the final cut.

The Parks and Rec actor revealed that he had to go in to work despite being "violently ill". 

“The thing about being an actor that people don’t really get there is no, I mean, you can plan days off. They can work around things sometimes, but otherwise… You really can’t [call out of work],” Jim explained in an interview with Decider.

Well, his illness took a toll when he was required to lift up a box for a scene, as he remembered: 

“Watch the episode where we’re moving Tom [Haverford] out of his house [Sweetums]. I lift a box into the truck. In real life, when that happened, other things happened.”

Jim continued with the scene, despite his own "discomfort", saying: "The lesson? Sometimes you shit the bed and sometimes you shit your pants, but the show must go on.”

Joe Jonas revealed that he once had a backdoor accident on stage.

Around 2019, Joe Jonas was on stage and thought he'd risk what he described as a "little toot", however it turned out to bring with it "a little something else, a little something extra."

To make it worse, Joe's outfit of choice wasn't ideal for that type of accident, "Let's just say it was a bad day to choose to wear white clothing." 

The singer promptly halted the performance to go and change into something less, uncomfortable...  

Ed Sheeran may be in the midst of the biggest shitstorm of his career, but he's had more of a literal one before.

Years back, before the singer alienated much of his fanbase and lost all of his support acts, he revealed the misjudged movement on stage that made him have to finish a gig standing still: 

“I actually once misjudged a fart on stage, which ended up being a shart,” he recalled. “It was, like, midway through a performance and I was really lively, and then halfway through I was like, ‘Alright, I’m just going to stand for the rest of the performance, and hope it’s over soon and then go home and throw these trousers out!'”

The singer blamed it on his travel arrangements, “I had flown from London to Tokyo to Sydney to England, all in three days, and it messed me up and I was very ill." 

I guess 'shit or get off the pot' has always been a phrase Ed hasn't quite grasped...

Taylor Kitsch was next to the bathroom when he pooped in the audition room.

While Taylor wasn't technically on the job when nature called a bit too fast, he was on the job hunt. It was, unfortunately, moments before an audition when the Canadian actor, jacked up on strong coffee, had a bit of an incident... 

“I was in L.A. living out of my car and I would get all these crazy auditions, like four in a day, and I needed a strong coffee,” he explained. “And I'm having it driving to the audition. I'm sitting in the waiting room just like this, and I s*** myself. No joke. And the bathroom door is right there. And I'm like, 'Oh my God.' 

But, the show (and audition) must go on, as the actor went on to say:

“I threw my underwear in the garbage can, came back out and waited and did not get the job."

John Rhys-Davies couldn't hold it in on set, and an entire scene had to be changed in Raider's of the Lost Ark because of Harrison Ford's stomach issues.

During the production, John Rhys-Davies and Harrison Ford, along with other members of the cast and crew, had some intense stomach problems. For John, it led to one unfortunate moment during the shooting of a scene, as the actor remembers:

“I remember Steven [Spielberg] saying, ‘John, could you get just down a bit lower to give them a better eyeline?’ And as I got down to give him a better outline, I filled my djellaba in front of 200 people – and I didn’t care.”

Ford however, was so ill with dysentery that it gave him awful diarrhea, meaning he "found it really difficult to be out of his trailer for more than 10 minutes at a time."

This meant that the famous scene with Jones shooting the swordsman only exists because Ford was too ill to engage in anything more strenuous than than holding the gun up...
